We also offer a Basic plan which has limited services targeted to bands who just are starting out. Starting in 2001 as a small conventional music and video distributorship, 101 has grown into a full-service solution, now used to manage the digital, mobile, retail, and mail order sales for thousands of actively selling titles. 101's innovative platform allows artists to centralize and manage their music and video sales. 101's model is aimed to become an alternative to the imploding major label model. 101 is a blueprint for navigating a declining economy and a fragmented marketplace. The Company's catalog of independent music and movie releases can be found in more than 5,500 brick-and-mortar retail stores, digital download services, and mobile networks across the U.S. and Canada, as well as in the UK, Germany, Japan, France, Australia, South Africa, Holland, and Armenia. 101 has also developed a proprietary mobile platform that makes selling mobile ringtones, and MP3 downloads easy for any end user. Clients can also receive made-to-order merchandise sales and support. • What is a Ministry Membership?

  A 101Faith.com Ministry Membership is an exclusive membership available to music ministries and worship leaders. A Ministry Membership includes 3 Professional-style project setups in each 12 month period (download cards optional) - a $1,500 value for only $499.95 per year. A Ministry Membership also includes access to the 101Faith Ministry Members Network - an International, National, and Local network of 101Faith members that meet regularly to discuss projects they're producing and offer peer support. Because 101Faith was established in part to promote the creation, production, and distribution of ALL genres of faith-based music, and to have music ministries serve as artist developers and "micro labels" for fostering the talents of those around them, we find the Ministry Members Network to be a vital tool in ministries and artists helping each other create the best content possible.

• What does 100% net royalty payout mean?

  101 does not make any money for sales that occur through the 101 website or any third party storefront. If you sell a full album download for $9.99 through your 101Faith project page, you will be paid the full $9.99. Single song sales priced at $0.99, you will be paid the full $0.99. • Is 101Faith affiliated with any religious denomination?

  101Faith is not affiliated with any single Christian religious denomination. We are an independent ministry/business service provider formed to promote the creation, production, distribution, and enjoyment all genres of Christian music.

• Who started 101Faith?

  101Faith was started by Damon Evans and Erik Yarbro. Damon is founder and Executive Director of 101 Distribution, parent of 101Faith, which was formed in 1998 as an independent music distribution company that now manages distribution for thousands of independent artists and labels. Erik is a business leader and Christian music producer/singer/songwriter and serves as Director of 101Faith. Erik is committed to promoting the creation, distribution and enjoyment of  top-quality Christian music across all genres. Both men consider it their God-appoitned mission to grow and strengthen the Kingdom of the faithful through music.

• Is 101Faith a Label?

  No, 101Faith is an independent distributor. We supply the demand. You as the artist, ministry and/or your label create the demand. We promote 101Faith as the ultimate platform for faith-based music - For Artists, For Consumers, For Labels, For Ministries. 

• How do I get a UPC code?

  101 will create a unique UPC (Universal Product Code) for our Basic, Professional, and Ministry Membership account holders.

• What is an ISRC code and how do I get them?

  ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) codes are unique identifiers that track individual single sales. You must have an ISRC code to distribute and sell your singles through 101 and all third party digital storefronts. We create ISRC codes, at no additional charge for our 101 clients. You can use your own ISRC codes if you have them.

• Does 101 report to Soundscan?

  101 does report to Soundscan. Our retail store and digital storefronts generally do as well.

• What are 101Faith's fees, and how do I pay for them?

  The one-time fees associated with selling your music of video project are: The 101 Professional Setup Option $499.95; The 101 Basic Setup Option $49.95; The 101Faith Ministry Membership $499.95/yr;  Optional Merchandise Setup: Fees are $199.95 for Basic accounts & $99.95 for Professional accounts; Annual Storage Fee of $19.95 per project (after 12 months) If you'd like an album/EP/single taken down from one or more stores/services (only albums/EPs/singles, not individual songs, can be taken down) There will be $50.00 early termination fee per album/EP/single per request. When you transfer funds from your 101 account, there will be a $2 Fee if we are transferring under $100. They may also be a fee imposed by the bank or financial service or PayPal. Fees are paid at the time an account is activated or an optional item has been setup either by credit card through your 101Faith login account or by debiting your 101 account balance if a balance exists to cover the fee.

• How long does it take for my project to go live once I have signed up for the Professional Option?

  Once you activate your profile at 101Faith.com, you will be able to start selling your digital singles and albums immediately. Your ringtones will take about 24 hours for approval and the distribution to all third party sites will take 24 hours (iTunes) to 4 weeks depending on the store. 101 does not have control over when your album goes live with any particular site.

• What rights am I granting to 101?

  As you'll see on our terms and conditions (We recommend that everyone please read) you grant 101 these rights: You grant 101 the non-exclusive right to deliver and allow the stores/services you chose to sell your music and/or music videos. You grant 101 the right to collect and transfer to you all the money owed to you from the sale of your music in the stores/services we distribute to. You grant 101 the right to use the name(s), photographs and likenesses, artwork images, biographical and other information provided by you in connection with your music or music videos. You agree to the Schedule of Fees for our services. You agree to our Privacy Policy. And you agree to allow 101 to stream your music over the internet (see the agreement for details). 101 does not own your songs, your masters, your copyrights, or the rights to any art work or band photo or music videos you submit. You maintain all ownership and control of all your rights.

• What retail stores will my album be sold in?

  During the 60 day pre release campaign we will analyze in detail the geographic areas where your project sales are coming from. Once you have sold 500 full album downloads, we will then coordinate physical placement with our retail network ie., Best Buy, Target, Walmart, FYE, and other national and international retailers, to place product in areas where there is demand.

• How can you help me with my merchandising needs?

  Contact ar@101Faith.com. You supply the artwork and we help you with sales and support, giving your fans access to over 80 different types of product options including t-shirts, fitted caps, and hoodies. You don't have to worry about upfront costs or storage, We take care of that. Setup fee is $99.95 for Professional subscribers and $199.95 for our Basic clients. The price includes 12 Shirts.

• How do I get my product into retail?

  Generate 500 total points from digital downloads and mail order CD's generated through your 101 Featured Project Page and all third party digital storefronts within the first 60 days of your release being activated at 101Faith.com and you will qualify for physical product placement in retail stores: 1 point is given for every full album download 1 point for every 10 single song downloads 1 point for every 10 ringtone downloads.

• How do I get my music to retail stores without getting the 500 points?

  If you do not reach the 500 points YOU WILL NOT qualify for retail distribution, no matter how good your project is. We have great relationships with buyers all across the world and they trust and value the recommendations that we provide. If we cannot prove that you have at least 500 fans that are willing to purchase your CD, downloads or ringtones from the comfort of their own home, it will be next to impossible for us to convince Best Buy that they come to a store to purchase it.

• How does Amazon MP3 sell my music?

  101 delivers your music to the Amazon MP3 music store, which sells music only as permanent digital downloads through the Web (no streaming is offered other than 30-second sample streams for each song). There is no physical distribution available through Amazon MP3. Your fans will be able to purchase songs individually or entire albums digitally as downloads to their computers and/or portable devices. Amazon MP3 sells individual songs and albums at various price levels: Front Line: The highest retail price in the store (good for new releases) Mid Line: Slightly lower than Front Line (good for new releases and other current releases) Catalog: Slightly lower than Mid Line (good for older or lower selling releases) Special: The lowest retail price in the store (good for promotions, old and/or low selling catalog) 101 submits all projects under the Front Line category At this time, digital songs and albums are only sold in two stores: the Amazon MP3 U.S. store and the Amazon MP3 U.K. store; be sure you have the rights to sell the music within those territories, and be prepared in case Amazon MP3 expands to other territories, since Amazon reserves the right to automatically place its catalog into any territory or store they create in any country. Amazon MP3 does not use Digital Rights Management (DRM) on music they sell. Music will be sold unprotected as MP3s. If you are concerned about the lack of DRM, please do not choose to sell your music through Amazon MP3. Amazon MP3 reserves the right to sell music any way they want and at any price they want. Amazon typically pays out between 60-65% of the sale price.
